BodyTalk sessions are easy, safe and comfortable. They are done with the client fully clothed.
Your first session will be around 75-90 minutes, with subsequent sessions up to 60 minutes. The length of a session is not indicative of the quality of the session or the results that occur, as even the simplest sessions can be quite profound. Your innate intelligence knows just how many changes and corrections it's ready and able to initiate in any given session, and will therefore indicate when the session is complete and may even establish an optimal date for a follow-up session.
Your session will usually begin with a discussion about your health status and whatever other personal issues you may wish to address. Then you'll either relax in a chair or on a treatment table while the practitioner gently uses your arm to establish a Yes/No communication with your body. This communication is called neuromuscular biofeedback, which is similar to applied kinesiology. In so doing the practitioner acts as an interpreter for your body's innate intelligence. By understanding that your body has an inherent knowledge of itself, the practitioner is able to quickly and easily ask your body where there are breakdowns in communication, what needs to be resynchronized, and in what sequence. And as it's your body’s innate intelligence directing the proceedings, each session is totally unique and individual to you.
For every weakened or broken energy circuit highlighted by your innate intelligence, a tapping technique is used which consists of light tapping on the head, heart and abdomen. For BodyTalk specifically, tapping on the head tells the brain to 'fix' the faulty communication circuit. This stimulates your brain to initiate corrections to the broken circuits. Tapping on your sternum 'saves' the corrected energy circuit in the heart centre and shares this information with every single cell in the body. This means that your body will remember these changes after the session, thereby continuing the healing process long after the session is over. This is the process of building health.
