What is EmRes?
Emotional Resolution (EmRes) is a natural, gentle yet profound method of resolving any stressful emotional reaction in your life. Using your body’s innate capacity, an EmRes session easily and gently connects you to the origin of a stressful emotion through your physical sensations and integrates the unwanted emotional response or behaviour - thus resetting the body and mind. Each session focuses on a specific emotional stress. You choose the emotional challenge, with examples of how it impacts you, and we'll resolve it at the root of the sensory imprint, so that the present-day triggers are completely deactivated.

EmRes sessions are conducted over the phone or online via Skype or FaceTime. Throughout the session you remain fully conscious, comfortably seated in a quiet space without distractions. You will then be guided through a set of steps to address the emotional difficulty of your choice.
There is no need for you to recount your personal history or details. Sessions are 30-45 minutes. After the session a follow-up appointment is made to ensure progress and positive results - this follow-up appointment is included in your session price.

Do I need to revisit a past trauma?

It’s not realistic to expect that one EmRes session will resolve ALL anxiety or depression for example. However as we work through an emotional reaction in one context clients report improvements in other areas of their life that are also impacted by that stressful emotion.
But I don't have any big emotional stresses at the moment...
Perhaps not. And that’s great. But it’s often the accumulation of all the little stressful emotions that have the biggest impact on our lives. The small things that we do not take care of - the small fears, the small annoyances, the small frustrations.

Take for example fear, which can manifest in many ways including avoidance, inhibition, aggression and control. Do you find yourself avoiding certain situations or people? Do you need a few glasses of wine to calm down after a stressful day at work? Is a fear of not being good enough holding you back in your job or relationship? Do you get frustrated with yourself because of a certain behaviour?
We often don't recognise those emotions - we see them as just being part of our lives, or part of our personalities. These are the emotions that can go unrecognised and uncared for and are often the ones that can build and build and create many problems in our lives physically, mentally and emotionally. As Van Gogh said “Let's not forget that the little emotions are the great captains of our lives and we obey them without realizing it.”
